just bought an entire 2001 r6 with a blown motor for 300 bucks - the title and frame. Picking it up tonight or tomorrow night.
Mods will be as follows:
Swingarm
Front end (forks, wheel, brakes)
r6 tank
Any other ideas? and I will probably have alot of parts for sale I wont be using.

As much as I love the FZR, why not just get a replacement motor for the R6? It would be cheaper in the long run and you'll have a better investment - not too mention that the R6 parts work better on the R6 frame.
EDIT: Didn't see the pics before. I thought it was a whole bike.

well the problem with that is that the r6 has a salvaged title which is a nightmare to deal with in the state of GA.
The fizz deserves an upgrade and the price is right. hell I'll part it out and make my money back fairly easy.

all i know is he said the motor is blown. (if the crank isnt spun then I will definately have to reconsider upgrading the fzr and will probably sell the fiz and rebuild the r6 and ride it)

Im working on a write-up for using the R6 rearsets...something to think about. But yeah tear down that motor and see if it's salvagable.

UPDATE motor has a leaky head gasket transmission is gone
I got the frame with salvaged title for another 100.00

Nice dude! That means your almost ready for the swing arm and the fork swap. Cant wait to get your old swinger off and put a fatty on it. When do you want to set up a weekend to do this? Spring break would be good. I can take a day off if you want. Let me know.
I might be interested in the frame and subframe. Ill call you tomorrow about it.
