FZR 400 RR sP swingarm swop:
Ok there are some options for swingarms. They are rare and hard to find in the states. You can get the Delta Box from the 1990 FZR400, the box section swing arm for the 88-89 FZR400. You can also get a FZR400r 3en braced swing arm like an R6. You can also fit a FZR400rr 3tj swing arm.

FZR400rr 3tj. Ultra trick, light, stiff, EXTRA wide (widest) - work involved - you will need to make a spacer for the swing arm pivot bolt. Easy for any machine shop. You will need the rear brakes too. Axel is larger in diameter too

The 600 and the 400 swingarm are 22 cm wide at the point where they go into the frame

swingarm bearing sizes:
-outer diameter: 37mm
-inner diameter: 24mm
-length: 30mm
(250 mm = 1 inch)

The 400rr chain is smaller than the 600. The 400 is 428 and the 600 is 530.
Renthal makes makes conversion kits for the 400 and the 600 to change to 520.
Youl'll need a 520 rearsprocket for the 400rr wheel and a 520 frontsprocket for the 600.

By converting the sprockets you don't need a off-set front sprocket to outline the chain.

The original tailrisers are too long because the 400 RR wheel is 1" smaller.

Swing arm swap continued....

The Project, hybrid: http://www.fzrarchives.com/ipb/index.ph ... opic=28419

right, take your 600 swingarm off.
now the spindle you took out that holds swing arm too frame you are using again.
right.. inside the 400 swing arm theres a tube that the sleeve goes through like in my picture yes.
take this out and you will see your 600 spindle wont fit as the 400 sleeve
is too big correct?
now take both parts..600 spindle and the 400 sleeve too a machinest in your area,
and ask him too make you a sleeve too fit in side your 400 sleeve"the shiny silver part on mine so it will take your 600 spindle.

Nice work. What are the projector beam lights from? It will be interesting to see the tail with some paint and graphics on it. The photo angle and being fiberglass white make it look a tad big right now.

There are no real up-dates. I'm clening up my subframe removing unwanted brackets and relocating the CDI and fuse box. I'm also replacing the coolant reservoir by a smaller one taken from a moped.

The rear sets needed an adapterplate made out of aluminium.

just some minor things

yzf seat
made an undertray
made an exhaust bracket
made a license plate bracket
relocated fuse boxes
r6 swithch gear

still to do:
shorter braided brake lines and smaller reservoir
lower and extend yzf tank bracket

I just bought these new MICRON headers.

Is it correct the linkage pipe of the original exhaust drops and that there is no bracket close to the shock?

I don't have the exhaust since I want to keep the BSM one.
