Hey does anyone know if I can just remove the oil cooler collar so that I can get a little more clearance for my exhaust?

I would suggest against it.
I would rather see you use a YZF exhaust and keep the cooling unit intact.

I have a YZF600 exhaust setup but I might have to use my FZR400 exhaust because I don't want to hack up my fancy fairings.
Rage do you suggest against just because of the "cooling" properties of that peice or do you have another reason? Just because those cooling oil filter collars don't really do that much for taking oil temps down, and plus if I did need to have an oil cooler on the bike I would much rather have a real oil cooler.

I'm just concerned about cooling. The FZR system is not the best.
What radiator are you going with?

I have a YZF600 rad, that I will be ducting. If I were to delete the oil cooler I would put in a replacement, but I would use one of the ones that is like a radiator but has oil going through it.

Cool I will check in to that on ebay, and it looks like if I use the FZ setup I could probably be able to mount the oil filter remotely. Thanks again rage

That is a cool setup with the FZ oil coolers. I might pick one up. Thanks for posting that Rage.
I don't see how you could mount the filter remotely with that setup though. Post a rough drawing of your idea if you want. I'm just not seeing it.

I don't have a drawing handy, but you would just put the oil filer block (can't think of a better word right now) and just put in inline, probably before the cooler. Looks doable but I will have to look into it some more.
