Imageshack requires a monthly payment to use there hosting site now, so all my pictures were deleted by them.
I don't have the time atm to reupload them, so here is just an almost finished project pic from 2.5years ago:

I had a busy weekend working on my pop up camper and ran in to a loose wire on my FZR ignition when I did the digital gauges. So, I had to fix it today but I did get out all the parts for you and will get it boxed up tomorrow. Thanks for being patient with me.
Im just glad your being patiant with me...last friday I got paid a whole $20
Then I filled my tank $9
so that left me with $11
I then pawned off my $70 effects pedal for $10
then I had $21...
bought those R1 fairings for $35...my brother loaned me $15...so now Im left with $1
now the guy will give me the 04-06 R1 black smoked windscreen and 04-06 r1 seat for $30....
The reason I got paid so little is because we are inbetween jobs right now, and we will be starting a new project next week which will bring in alot of cash.
(I work at a place that builds custom kitchens and entertainment centers)
but for now, I might pawn off one of my guitars, hopefully I can get at least $20 for it...then Ill have $21...and I will be able to ship the swinger to you
Ill most likely have it shipped out by this weekend.
then with what im hoping to be a good pay week, I will be able to get my new rear tire, and go get those R1 parts..
so thank YOU for being so patiant....

I take it you are going for a look similar to this? You might want to PM 90ca18det since that's his bike. He'll probably have good helpful info for you that will benefit your swap.

think I should keep the parts that are blue, blue, and keep the rest black??
I think it looks pretty good.
or should I paint the whole thing black???
you can look at my sig. and see how it sits with the blue and black

Man that looks pretty stellar, no one has attempted a tank cowl before so that's particularly interesting to see attempted. Keep the blue parts blue, they would look good black but that Yamaha blue is a nice contrast.

I could do all white too.
but I fell in love with that yamaha blue.
it looks so nice.
I hope my painter can make up an exact batch of it for me.

I think Im going to get the 04-06 r1 tank and do a conversion.
if the bottom part doesnt fit in the frame, then I could always hammer the tank a little so it squezes in, or cut the intire bottom off and weld on a new bottom that will fit.
I would get the 04-06 r1 tail to, but I want to keep my speaker setup.

iv got a problem
The left side lower hits the damn stator
I dont know how im going to get around this...maybe hack off the part that hitting...but that might be to much.
I thought r1s had stators!

I have to agree. Stay with the blue and THAT color if you can. As a matter of fact your sig looks like a good scheme to go with. You might just want to trim and fiberglass a way around the stator to make it look good.

I dont really like the yzf tank that much...and everyone else is doing that tank on there fzr.
im going to try and see if the full r1 tank will fit (not just the cover, the whole setup)
I dont want to have to built a tank from scratch like you guys all did.
