I have finnished my ram air setup besides the body work.Haven tested it yet and wont beable to untill my new sprockets come in.The setup consists of the plastic top off a bondo can which fits perfectly over the air filter. Some PVC fittings and 1 1/2 inch PVC flex tube.Lots of super glue, gorilla glue and a good amount of fiberglass resin inside the lid thats at an angle to help the air flow downwards into the air filter. Also some smaller tubing for the float bowl pressure equalization.Heres a video and some pics of what i have going on.

Im 99% sure it will.I might have to mess with the equalization tubes, but besides that there shouldent be any issues.I did a setup like this on my last bike, even tho it came from the factory with ram air all the components were gone when Igot the bike and I put it back together basically like I did with this. And it worked dead on the first try.

Heres some pics of the bondo sanded down.A little more prep tomorrow and I'll get it painted up...

I got the body work and paint done.Got my new front sprocket and chain, but it's gonna be about two more weeks for my rear sprocket because Vortex has to have it custom made.So I just get to look at it for a couple more weeks and wont know if my work will pay off.
On a side note I also did my fork seals last night. One of the easiest and cheapest things I've done to the bike lol...

I need to do my fork seals to. Did you have to have any custom tools for the install? Something about a long rod to go through the tube?

This is a pretty cool mod and the YouTube video sounds pretty good, and seems like it will work great.

Only thing I wonder is ... when you go to take the gas tank cover off... i guess the whole assembly will have to come off ?? The way you have it connected to the front fairing ... will that be an easy task ?

Nice job on the bondo / painting etc. also.

It just kinda clips tightly to the front fairing and pulls right off with the cover.I just used fittings that were laying around besides the flex tube.I guess it would have been easier to spend a couple of bucks and got a 1 1/2 female to female 45 fitting so I could have just slid the hose's in and out,but this works fine :shocker

EDIT...

I made a tool out of a small socket and welded some small pices of flat stock to it.Than I used two long and two short extentions with the ratchet.held the fork by the calliper mount in to the vice.held the ratchet in one hand and had the allen wrench with a breaker bar in the other end and it came right apart.
I was lucky enough to have a bunch of extra fork parts when I got the bike and there was some dampning tubes in there so it made it easy for me to make the tool

It's kinda a bad pic but heres the tool I made..

I hope theres not gas in the carbs being that it's fuel injected.
