Re: yzf sprocket offset
Can't you just take a ZX6R sprocket and flip it around for the offset? I know that is solved the problem for the R6 swingarm but I can't remember if anyone did this for the YZF one. Either way, you will want to switch to a 520 chain.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Re: yzf sprocket offset
ABS .. did your sprocket NUT fit the right way or did you flip it around , and did you use a torque wrench ? i checked but i didnt see anywhere how much to torque the sprocket nut , im still having issues with my chain rubbing against my lower pegs mount . im thinking the sprocket nut had to be tightened more but not sure if thats gonna make a differnce or my chain is shot and needs replacing . i bought a 32 mm socket yesterday 15$ damn i neva paid that much for one socket .. one more thing is the axle nut .did you use a torque wrench or just tightened to what you thought was tight enough?abs600fzrr wrote:I did it...you just torque the outta it. road mine 1000 miles no problems. people worry to much.

your worries are over now since you bought a newer bike. If that nut comes off while riding it could be ugly. I guess the outside of the sprocket could be milled down enough to tighten it more.

Re: yzf sprocket offset
That was what I also suggested. I'm certain it wouldn't take much, but it would be better than not having that nut on enough.95FZR600 wrote: I guess the outside of the sprocket could be milled down enough to tighten it more.

Re: yzf sprocket offset
I know that they designed that nut togo on that way I just don't understand why! If you grind down the sprocket it would affect the chain alignment I would guess I dunno I ride it just like the way it is even with the chain rubbin against the lower peg mount.

Re: yzf sprocket offset
Not if you grind the outside of the sprocket.... shouldn't have any affect with alignment.

Re: yzf sprocket offset
judging buy your pics it looked like the front sprocket was out to far but itmight be the angle. but i have an idea there is a pin cant think of the name but its like a lock washer could possibly drill a hole threw the nut and into the output shaft then tap the pin in wish i could think of the name but it would keep the nut from spining. there isnt much stress on the nut its mainly there to hold the sprocket on, the splines take the stress i havent really decided what to do might check the possibility of having a rear sprocket made wth the offset in it if it is possible and not to expensive. when you gonna get an updated pic with that new tire on pimpmyfzr?

Re: yzf sprocket offset
I measured 9mm additional offset when comparing my YZF600 motor to the FZR 400 mill it is replacing.
FZR400 (1WG): Purchased a perfectly good FZR400 with Yoshimura slip-on/EXUP, Yosh jet kit, Factory ignition advance, Racetech springs and emulators. It even had great bodywork. Like some diseased maniac I had to mess with everything good about that bike. Well, at least I have better brakes now.
