Yamacati 600 (Slow interwebz beware)

Post by Monarch600 »

So I've been working on my bike for a few days after a low slide on my left side. It was my stupid fault. I changed my rear tire and forgot to warm it up and rode aggressively.. :duh: Anyways, I used rash on my left fairing as an excuse to replace my headlight cowl with something a little different. I'll try and get more pics up once I'm done.

What I started with (pic from before the rash)

Remember, still a work in progress.

Havent cut the hole for my projector either.

Sorry about the crap quality pics, My iphone took a poop on me :duh:

I wish, I picked up a set of retrofit projectors and an hid kit. The Duc headlights are ridiculously expensive and hard to find. Besides, my duc upper is actually a race fairing that I scored a deal on. I won it for $25 on fleabay shipped

Before the accident, I actually was a little annoyed with my paint job. The rash just gave me an excuse to start a mod XD This will be the fourth paint job I've done on her :yuck:

I finished the wiring relay with my buddy and a case of beer. Seems like it took longer than it should have...then again the beer didn't make it easier. I forgot how much of a difference Hid's make compared to regular bulbs.

Spent yesterday dremeling and aligning the hole I cut out for the projector(Btw never buy harbor freight dremels..the bits fall out every couple of minutes because they just wont clamp down.). This was just my rough cut, ended up cutting out and sanding to a circle. It looks off center due to the previous paint job not being centered.

I wish it wasn't so gloomy today, I painted last night and was planning on clear coating today..It's so cold I doubt the clear coat would dry until tonight :Kick
