Figured out the one wire upper bulb. It has a tab on the bulb itself for ground, so no need for new bulbs! Except when I swap to HID that is :D

To Do Checklist:

Find shorter throttle cables!
New main relay - parts in transit
Mount Headlight
Mount Speed Sensor -
Tune/synch Carbs -
Buy integrated signal taillight - Parts in transit
Custom Midpipe -
Wrap exhaust -
Add relay to low level sensor -
Wire liscence plate LED -
Decide where to put liscence plate -
Need new chain guard -
Replace misc hardware with black ones -
Mirrors - Parts in transit
RIDE THE TITS OFF OF IT!!! -

I moved the bike around today to make room to clean up under it and vacuum the little aluminum bits in the carpet :D Had a not so pleasnt suprise. With the R1 ignition cylinder installed, it hits the ears that stand up on the fork lock boss on the frame. Not bad, but it keeps the bike from turning. Im going to have to grind it down a bit. I also need to make some small spacers about 5mm long to put between the ignition and the top triple to lower it a bit. This will allow the dowel in the ignition to lock into the frame. It onyl goes about halfway into the hole on the frame, and the wheel is straight ahead, but its better than nothing. The spacers will also make the cylinder sit flush with the triple and not stick up out of it. But the ignition is going to be very close to my headlight and may interfere lowered, so I might just have to do without the steering lock. Going to have to come up with some other security measures. Because right now, it has none. I still need to wire in my kill switch for the ignition, I need a disc lock, I need to armor my ignition wires, etc. Im thinking some flexible conduit might get the job done for that. Ill check home depot and see what theyve got.

Well my bike hates me, thats for sure. It is making me work hard for it. The relay I got today was bad also, so Im waiting for the new one to come. but I got some things to dress it up. My integrted taillight came in. And isntead of the wierd white lens like the stock R1, its smoked. Looks really nice. My bar end mirrors came in too. I still dont like them much, but its the best option out there and the cheapest. I need to finalize their locations and move stuff around on the bars, but otherwise theyre fine.

And my second, coolest thing ever showed up today. Thatkid's crash rails! They look sick! We need to refine the top mounting bolt a bit, but i think once that is taken care of, these are gonna be stout!

Freeze could you get me some pics under your tank? I'm curious if you relocated your filler neck.

Theres a little slot the coils slip into on that shroud, but its actually screwed to the frame. It is located normally. There was some wierd bracket coming off the frame near the filler neck, I think it was for the airbox. I cut that off. i never had the airbox.

It starts!!! It will fire up on starting fluid, but won't run off gas yet, but it starts! Revs strong for the few seconds it runs. Now to dial in the carbs and tie up the loose ends.

let it run as long as you can get it to run and warm up and make sure idle is turned high with choke on...had to do alot of tweaking to get the yzf to start...starting fluid was the key element but after letting it warm for 20 min and doing carb sync I was able to turn off chock finally and run her nice
