Looks really good. Now ride that thing over and help me finish mine. LOL. Any plans to paint the frame and swingarm so they match?
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Not doing anything else except for lowering links and maybe yzf forks and of course the hydraulic clutch. We do need to get together soon.

Mark - That thing is awesome!

You really did an outstanding job on it.

Look at your swinger and the stock R6... I'm thinking it might have to be lowered a bit... ha! Easy fix!

Hey mark, you should go with some flush mount signals in the front... I put them on mine front and rear, got them off ebay. The indent on the front upper cowling right where the stock signals stick out; the signals fit right in there really nicely, i just hate those freakin airplane wing turn signals. Great job you have yourself a whole new motorcycle from what you started with Cruisin

Thanks for the compliments. I have no funds right now for anything. I have seen the ones your talking about just have not ordered them yet. Your right though, they would look a lot better than the stock ones.

Ok. I ordered the lowering links above, installed them today and worked great. It lowered it 3" and that's what I needed. The kickstand is normal again but I had one problem. The chain was rubbing the left foot peg bolt on the inside so I had to remove the wheel and grind it down. All seems to be good. Test rode it sown the road and back and tomorrow will ride it to work.

thats the same problem i was having with my yzf swingarm .... but it was the lil bolt on the bottom of the rearset mount , i grinded it down also but still rubs when i accelerate ,.. now im thinking that when my bike was dropped on left side it bent the welded mount part in because i tried pulling it out but i guess everytime my big ass gets on it it pushes it back in .. i grinded the the threaded tab down but if i grind anymore ill lose it ... wish i had ordered some of china' steves rearsets .

This is why I cut the mounting tabs off and welded on a piece of plate steel with mounting holes to match different rearsets. It moved out the mount so I don't have to worry about hitting the bolt and I'm using rearsets from a newer bike which means I can buy whatever I want. Wasn't that hard to do either.

Mark - you got a picture of the linkage with the new part in it?

Pimp, that was my problem. I think I might order some r6 rear sets and weld my own plate in as well.

Cad, will get a pic tonight for ya.

While your at it, what is the measurement of the swingarm at the pivot? Also what year R6 is that measurement from?

I've got someone who just picked up a RAM R6 swingarm for his ZX7, and I told him I would try to track down the width.

99-02 R6 Swinger. Its 11" wide at the pivot area on a stocker. Remember, I did some grinding on mine.

is this the same swinger that you used??

I would do the swap, but I dont have the time, and i also dont have the rear wheel to go along with it.

do you think that you could just do the swinger swap and not change the crank sprocket and use the stock FZR wheel by just using some spacers???

Yes, thats the one.

Im not sure if you could do that. I used all R6 parts for the rear except for the MC. I dont know why you would want to do the swiing arm swap and not change the FZR wheel. If its money then just pick up the parts here and there and then when you have everything you can start it.
