Well he did yzf swingarm with R6 wheel ,,custom made spacers <collars> , your using R6 swingarm , do your spacers look like his ? i mean both of you could be wrong or right i guess .. LOL2

Right or wrong, Mine will be done either way. Which ever way has to be done. Im using the R6 pivot bolt/Axle bolt and R6 wheel.

I have the stock swinger and everything original off the bike as you can see. I started on the grinding. The rear part of the frame is different for the 400/600. I think Im going to have to weld in a plate like SPYDER did on his build or just take enough metal off and add some spacers(washers). Depending on the amount of metal I remove depends if I have to remove any off the cush drive. Whatever needs to be done I will do. Cant go back unless I get another frame.

Today I started on the frame. Should have the r6 swinger in the frame today. Thats my goal. I will be back with more pics.

It was late so I didnt get any pics tonight but I do have the swing arm fitted. I had to take a little metal from the bearing also but it all fits. Im going to have to weld some metal on the frame where I ground it down.
The frame has a nub or knuckle that you have to grind down on each side and that is welded from the factory on the outside of the frame. Well, I will have to fill it in with some weld to make it stronger again. Kind of what SPYDER had to do.
The 400 frame is made different where you grind on the frame and there were no good pics of that process to go off of. Therefore, I will have some great pics of how Im having to do it in case someone else wants to try this.

I will have some pics tomorrow of what Im talking about. Until then, time to spend some time with the wife now.

Looking forward to seeing the finished project. BTW, what sealant did you use for your speed sensor in those pics? I used black RTV, and I notice I have a drop or two of oil on the lip below the sensor.

I used jb-weld and then clear silicone around the edges. No oil at all.

This is not a swap by any means. A lot of work has gone into this MOD. Not only have I ground down the frame but the swing arm to. Unlike the other two R6 Swaps, this one is totally different in means of making the 99-02 Swinger fit the 600 frame. You will notice in the pics I have posted all the cutting and grinding of the frame and bushings that are welded in on the frame at the pivot bolt location. Im just glad that the bushings are seperate from the frame nubs(thats what I call them) I think they are just spacers for the stock swinger. Now that I have the R6 swinger installed, its time for the shock installation and a little grinding on the pivot axle bolt to recess into the slot of the frame. Once that is done I will tear it back down and weld the area on the inside of the frame grind it and paint it.

I dont have a 520 chain yet but threw on the 530 for chain alignment and wow! Its PERFECT! Because of the fitment I had to do there is no spacing of the foot peg area at all. I will have to mount my own brake pressure switch. The old one had to be cut off. The clutch cover fits right on there so I will not have to weld on to that to extend it. YAY!

Thats all I can think of right now. If anyone has any questions, please ask.
