I hate debt with a passion. Ive been in debt for over a year because of my motorcycles.

I'm assuming you haven't taken it out yet, but when you do you should let me know how it rides with R1 setup. Any difference in the front end height?
im use to the ride height of the front.
I set up my stock forks to be the same height as it would be once I got the r1 forks on.
I even put the clip-ons under the triples like they are on the r1 forks.
the ride is just like as if you were to hope on a newer sport bike.
these stock fzr's have a high front end ride height which is why people say they are more comfertable.
i had some friends say I looked weird on my bike because stock height your like sitting straight up and there is no hunch to your back and it just doesnt look right on a sports bike.
when I went over to Deathcomesarippin's house, we had his stock fzr next to mine you could see just how much lower the bike was lol I wish we took a pic.
its like a whole 2" drop or so...but I also have mine lowered with the r1 forks on 1"...so mine is really lowered in the front about 2" 1/4" or so
and I also have custom bones in the back lifting it up. its not as high in the back as I would like, so Im going to be doing some moding to the subframe to have the tail up higher.

just like 1 hour ago...
we got the H pipe welded on.
it sounds SO much better.

i was on a part of a road that im in 3rd gear at, but when I road it today, i was only in second...I thought I was in third, it felt like third, but when I down shifted, I only was able to click down once.

My friend said that scorpian pipes are to help with low end.
He is going to get me a brand new helmet for $50...I think its Gmax...whatever has those led lights on the back of the helmet you can program...Then I wont be rockin my SHOEI RF-800 anymore...lol guy thought his rf-900 was an antique

i cant really do a swingarm swap because my bike would have to be down for awhile...
I get 1 day to install a mod...swingarm woould take along time because of the grinding and stuff.
Id rather cut one side of the middle support of the stock swingarm and just stretch the swingarm open and weld the middle back with a spacer...

I just wish these mods wernt so damn expensive...
I was looking to doing the 660 conversion till i found out that its a $500+ job...

the swingarm mod shouldn't take longer than a day if it's done right, but I can't say that from experience. You can grind the swingarm down before you put it on the bike while you are riding it around, then when you feel everything is ready and you have enough time, pull the old off, and install the swinger.

Damn, looks like I should have picked up the swingarm from that guy the other day. I would have sold it to you dirt cheap.

But you should do it shred. Why stop here? Just like everyone else said, it will help make the appearance of the bike. And if you pick the correct parts it should be completed in a day or weekend.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Something is lurking, waiting, wanting to be built......It calls to me from the darkness....

I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel....Then I realize that it is the train coming to run my ass over....

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but the welding and pivot spacer is for the 04 R6 swinger isn't it? With the YZF600 it's as simple as grinding down the outside of the swingarm where it meets the frame..right?

Shred, if you wanna wait until i do my swingarm swap then i can tell you exactly how long it will take, i'm gonna try to use the L bracket from the yzf600 that the shock mounts on to on the bottom, instead of using the stock FZR L bracket, so i don't think i'll have to make any dogbone adjustments on mine after i do it this way.

Guys check the stickies we have in the subforms. We have two threads that dictate how to do the YZF swap pretty much to the "T" and a member that recently joined (Jax) has a thread going for his swap right now.
