resurrecting this post as i am still slowly gathering parts. so i need a 636 520 front sprocket, i assume that i would need a 520 pitch rear sprocket for the r6 wheel as well, or did they come with 520 pitch rears? i still dont really have an idea on what the 520 pitch even is :duh:
and i'd also need a 520 chain to go with all this too right :grinnod:

thanks all. i'll wait for the :Kick

520 pitch is width of chain. 99-02 r6 did not come with 520 chain, they came with 525. you need 520 to get your clearances right.
03-05 has 520. stay with 99-02 thought, cheaper and more parts.

I just ordered a set of 05 R6 5 spoke wheels, front and rear. Ill be doing this swap in the spring. Ive been wanting to change my sprocket setup anyway. Everything was actually pretty cheap. less than $150 shipped for both wheels and all rotors, and caliper bracket, cush drive/sprocket no caliper, plus a front tire. Not bad IMO. Ive got modking pretty busy with building stuff for my XS11 build, so once that cools down a bit, Ill have him whip up some spacers for me.

Does the the fzr rear brake arm or caliper bracket work with the yzf swingarm?

I have a Marchesini Magnesium rear wheel just so I can run 180 rear tires on my YZF600(1996 foxeye). This wouldve been a cheap and easy mod. I have a few people asking to buy the pair of Marchesini's from me, and I have 3 sets of R6 wheels. Maybe I should do this mod and sell off the Marchesinis.

Stock YZF wheel/tire/rotor was 9 lbs heavier than the Marchesini 180 wheel/tire/rotor!!

How much to get you to part with that rear wheel? Bear in mind that I can help you out with the wheel swap.

Not gonna sell it yet. It's super light, trick, and allows me to run 180 tires and just clear the chain. And I have 5 or 6 new in the box 520 sprockets of varying sized in the Marchesini bolt pattern. I have a pile of track scrubs that would be no good to me if I went back to a 160 sized rear wheel on it.
I may still race the YZF again in Lost Era-dunno for sure yet.
But even if I make it into my streetbike, I wanna make it as trick as I can.
Plan is to make a 600cc copy of the Attack UFO bike. I also have the matching front wheel but couldn't run it as it fits GSXR upside down forks-for Lost Era I couldn't run non stock forks as per the rules. On the street-there are no rules, so a magnesium front would surely lighten things up in the turning department.

It wasn't. Half those measurements are way off. Helped one guy through it while someone else was helping me through it. Pictures MIGHT still be over on the archives.
