There is NO stamp on them which says what they are... all they say is HALOGEN COLOR BULB on the blue plastic shield and M&H 12V 55/40W on the body
Nope, they sure didn't. Mine uses an H1 and a H3 bulb. The top one looks like a H4 with a shield around it which gives it the blue color. I can't tell if the bottom on has the same number of prongs or not. Take the bulb out of your bike (or if you have any extra bulbs for it use an extra one) and see if it will fit the socket. If it does, it uses the same bulbs as the US model FZR. Usually the type stamp will be under it (at the plug connection) or near the watt identification label. Hope this helps.

Huck - Im gonna use the fzr pivot bolt and sleeve it.

Haro - I dont know exactly what Im gonna do for the shock mount. I gotta get the swinger on first then see how its all gonna happen.

Rob - Both of those bulbs are the same... they are both 3 prong. After dinner Im gonna head out to the garage and pull the bulb outta the headlight on my bike and compare them.

how did you mount your shock i have an idea but im open to other options
I mounted mine on the bottom of the subframe with a piece of L (angle iron) with shock mounts welded to it and I drilled and bolted it to the subframe. I'll try and get u some pics. i'm 5'9" and I went from flat footed to balls of my feet after the r6 swinger and shock were installed

I used the r6 pivot bolt on mine but either will work and the fzr one will allow you to use your frame plugs.
Let me know if you have any questions.

NO WAY! These bulbs are FZR specific!?!

http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/5260 ... Two-Wheels

Well, I pulled the bulb outta my US headlamp... its an H4 and is WAY bigger than the other two bulbs. The only bulb that looks like it might work is the H7 but its only 2 prong. WTF?

That is crazy. There has got to be a different replacement bulb somewhere. PM nynoah. He has that headlight as well and may have found a different bulb to use. Also, hit the currency conversion on that site. It is $27 for I think one bulb before shipping.

Crazy is right! Theres no way I'm gonna pay $27 per bulb plus shipping! I'll throw a set of r1 fairings on my bike before i spend that kinda money on bulbs... I did PM Noah and Im just waiting to hear back from him.

On the plus side, I got my rig built for my project today!

I was gonna start putting the front end on but I need to bring the frame to my buddy's machine shop and it will be a whole lot easier without the front end. I talked to him yesterday and he's gonna machine down the swingarm and make the sleeves perfectly so that i wont have to grind ANY of my frame. It will just bolt right up like the stocker

I've got bmiller looking at this as well. He has a factory service manual for the RRSP and I think the info will be in there. There was an interesting bulb type I had come across before. It is called an H4H but also goes by some other name. I hope to find the answer to this as I've been interested in picking up one of the UK lights as well.

Cool, hopefully he'll have some good news! If not, I will seriously consider selling my UK headlight... without bulbs of course :whistle

Great minds think alike! It cost me about $12 in lumber and took me and my step-dad about an hour and a 6 pack to build.
