I have some Beasley ones that are very well made. They've taken some abuse and have been repaired. I still need to make them look pretty so I can put them on a bike, but I would go with Beasley again. I've heard not so good things about other brands but usually just stiffness issues. You can stiffen them up yourself very easily with some glass mat on the backside. I would say give them a shot.

I ran a set of Sharkskinz on my GSXR. The biggest issue with cheaper aftermarket fiberglass is that they aren't very flexible and the primer may crack since it is usually pretty cheap stuff.

That being said, they are a lot easier to repair than ABS and I wouldn't hesitate to try them.

I bought my set used and one of the side mounts was completely gone - a 2" hole where a 1/4" hole should have been. They also had several cracks, but it repaired nicely.

Gen,
Y-G used to make f'glass replica fairings when he lived out here. Replacing plastics was just a money pit (fairings cost the same as the whole bike) F'glass even I could manage if I dropped the bike repairing is just that easy . Prep and paint is the big issue skimp on prep and your paint work will suffer (yeh I learned the hard way )

I have Beasley parts and I have repaired them twice. They are a great company and with solid parts.

I have airtechs that were made in 97
they were pretty brittle and a total beach to fit on the bike, but once I got em on there, they didnt crackle or give me any problems, and they are WAYY lighter than the stock. Plus I can fix 'em with my surfboard repair equipment, which is a nice thing to have ;)
