Swing arm swap so close help with 520 chain

Post by gussy »

Help with chain on my Yzf 6oor swing arm swap.
Ok guys here's the issue . The frame is aluminum the motor is Yzf 600r
The swinger in now 600r the chain and sprockets are now 520 the shock is
Now o8 r6 red. I've ground off some of the frame casing
For the upper chain and a little of the lower casing and foot peg.

I'm worried about grinding any of the structural casting but
It's rubbing in this spot. How much can I take off.

No replies now I'm thinking I've gone too far maybe I'm over my head with this bike
Now that I've seen most o the swaps are on 600 steel frames.

I'm Also thinking that the new jt sprocket has he shoulder on one side .
If I flip it over would my chain be out of alignment too much
Or would I be ok .
Any guru help would be be help full I'm so close
I'd hate to hack the alloy frame and end up with a parts bike.

Yea looks like their is still hope !!!!!!!
Reading on the Yzf forum the shoulder side faces away from the motor
And I've got it on wrong and it might clear the frame after all.
Why don't they have an icon for keeping my fingers crossed

if your using the yzf600r engine an not the fzr then you dont have to space the chain out because the engine has it built in. use a sprocket with no collar on it or put the collar on the outside. i found a fzr front sprocket fits on the yzf
ones life is the way it is only because you allow it make it happen.
