Re: Where to drill on YZF motor for Speed sensor?
well, drilled it...fooked up. drilled about 1/8" to far to the right and down...I think its a shift fork that im looking at.
my sensor is about a half inch to long. so gotta make a weird shapped spacer that will point the sensor up a bit to miss the shift fork and so it doesnt hit.
anyone know how close the sensor has to be to the gear?

I have an extra cut washer template you can have machinist make an aluminum version of, I will send you, if you promise to mail it back. It has the outside dims, you just have to have the machinist make the center hole to match your sensor, and it will save you from tiring to figure it out.

Re: Where to drill on YZF motor for Speed sensor?
yea, but, i dont need a washer, its more of a spacer because I need about a half inch of something added inbetween the sensor mount and case

Wow a half inch? the plate, at least my plate does not set flat against the case.shredex wrote:yea, but, i dont need a washer, its more of a spacer because I need about a half inch of something added inbetween the sensor mount and case

Re: Where to drill on YZF motor for Speed sensor?
yea, just about a half inch but its not going to be even because i gotta angle the sensor up. so its going to be 1/2" on one side, and like 1/4" on the otherGenesis wrote:Wow a half inch? the plate, at least my plate does not set flat against the case.shredex wrote:yea, but, i dont need a washer, its more of a spacer because I need about a half inch of something added inbetween the sensor mount and case

all I know is that the sensor says "toyota" and a bunch of different numbers on it...95FZR600 wrote:Shred, which sensor did you go with? Did you look to see what I posted on the WIKI about the differences in sensor lengths?
Gen. I used the picture you posted on the first page of this thread as my guide since it was on a yzf motor
