Re: yzf engine fitment
you need the yzf cdi and harness and carbs and stuff.
you also need a yzf swingarm because the front sprocket wont match up with the fzr rear

Re: yzf engine fitment
this one is different than the one in my avatar ,but i used an 04 r6 swinger. i have the wireing, and carbs, wheels almost everything but front fairings. the only things i need for it to run are the starter, coils, and thermostat housing. all stuff i bought off a guy on the yzf forum, i paid for a lot of parts but he only sent me about half of them. now i cant get ahold of him and its been going on for 6 weeks, now plus he dident send the key for the lock set. now i have to have one made im pretty mad about it. the guy is so incompitent. ill try and put up a pic so ya can see i probally wont go threw posting a long build cause everyone is doing the same stuff and i dont wanna be redundant. but i cant help myself.

sorry to hear about your seller not being to straight, do not worry about duplicating a build story.
Everyone sees a build differently and so details get missed in the wording so the next one adds more "colour" if you like to the whole picture.
Re: yzf engine fitment
Stay on the guy. If you used paypal, you can lodge a complaint.
Basically to do a YZF600 engine swap, you need everything to make the engine run. You will need to make some brackets for various items like the VR, coils, radiator (if using the YZF), something to act as an overflow for the radiator. But the engine goes in to the frame just like the FZR one does. With using the R6 swingarm, the sprockets may not be in perfect alignment but it will be close enough. You also will want to use a 95 YZF600 air box which you will have to cut up to get to fit into the frame and a YZF fuel tank. Getting the carbs and air box on can be tricky but it does go on.
Good luck and let me know if you have an questions.

Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Re: yzf engine fitment
also, you should consider a 660 conversion after swaping out the 600 motor for some learning.
you can ask cad all about that. (cad, you should just have text saved to paste for everyone that you had to write about the 660 to...)

Re: yzf engine fitment
i did think about the 660 but i bought a yzf engine i dont have the fzr lower end but it does capture my interest to get the extra hp.as for the parts i have a phone number, i dident want to irritate the guy cause he could just say screw you im not sending the stuff. but it seems like its come to that so im probally gonna get pretty annoying real quick. this is the first real bad experience ive have in about 5 years. but hey you win some you lose some huh.
