well i dont know the lwas in cali but i had the sane problem here is what i did. in went to the dmv told them problem. they gave me some paperwork about getting an assurity bond to get a valid title. i had to do a vin search and find the last known registered owner and send them a certified letter telling them i came into ownership of the bike and would like them to get me a title and sign it over to me. most of the people dont respond due to moving and stuff. when the letter came back i took it back to the dmv to prove to then i attempted to get ahold of the last owner. they then go inspect the bike making sure the vin on the frame and the engine match. then they run a search too verify its not stolen. if it all comes back clean then you go to an insurance agency and buy an assurity bond for the title. my bond was like 60 dollhairs. then go back to the dmv showem the bond and then you can title it in your name. wow i type and spell like crap but hope it helps. long story short bring the fat dmv girls some cake and ask em what your options are
OH I THINK I DROPPED MY MONKEY

you just need some custom bones to raise the rear, and lower the front 1".

looks great though! you got the front mounted and positioned great it looks!

You live in California? Just go to the DMV and tell them you made a bike out of spare parts.

1st - Go find a buddy to write a bill of sale or get one from the guy you bought it from.

2nd - Take it to the CHP office they will give you a new number and certificate for the frame

3rd - Go to the DMV with the papers in hand and register the bike.

I did this with bikes I grey marketed in from Japan.

CHP will help you out its their job. Most likely tell you how great you did on your build.

Bring any receipts you have for the spare parts and such for the bike to show them it was in fact made from spare parts.

I had some of mine in Japanese and they still accepted them. Put them all in a folder looking nice and organized and they will see you are jsut a guy who built a bike.

You do the same thing when you build your own bike trailor you take it to them and they say OK its road safe and give you a certificte. Easy thing to do.
