2 Years of work about to pay off

Just thought I would post some pics of my ALMOST done project. I've been working on this for almost 2 years, it should have been done last year, but I got laid off from my job and money has been tight with the new job. I just need to finish putting it back together and finish up a few loose ends and it will be ready to ride....

Im painting the front rotors and I am in the process of cutting down the exhaust can, so i havent mounted that stuff yet

Looks awesome. I have always been a fan of white and blue or white and red. I wish I could afford to powercoat my whole frame white like that.

Ya , I guess I should have gave a rundown of what i did, Its basicly the motor was left stock( 19,000 miles) as were the front brakes and forks;
1993 fzr 600,1996 Yzf 600 rear swingarm mod, 2006 R1 front fairing and lowers,2007 R1 tail and seats, 1997 yzf tank ,2005 R6 rearsets, white powdercoat frame and wheels.
2005 R6 rear master cylinder.
I purchased this bike about 3 years ago sitting in a guys back yard rusting and falling apart for $800 .I think the hardest thing was building the rear subframe from scratch. I had to cut off the fzr lower supports in order for the 07R1 tail to mount properly. I got lucky and found some real carbon fiber plates(wich I still need to polish) 1/4 inch thick and sandwiched them (two on each side)between the top frame rails and the small piece of the lower frame rails I left attached to the frame.I had to put spacers inside the framerails so when I tightened up the bolts the square tube didnt collapse. this allowed me to set my own angle for the tail ,however i wanted it. It should allow plenty of support. I found this carbon fibre to be great stuff to work with, real easy to cut and drill. Just dont breath in the dust.I also had to fab up some aluminum plates to set the rearsets out to clear the swingarm, and build a new shift linkage from some heim joints and threaded rod i got off ebay. The rear passenger seat used with this tail almost sits in the exact location of the fzr pass seat so I didnt have to fab up any risers plates for support(unlike the R6 tail mod).I went with the yamaha blue because this color was used for many different years and models and its easy to by thes parts from ebay or other sites. Like I said I purchased this bike for $800 dollars and Ive probably put $800 into it with all the mods ( not counting the $250 powder coat job) so for around $1600 or $1700, I'd say it turned out to be a pretty good deal....

, listen, Im a daily rider...I can only have about 24 hours of my bike being down. my fork swap took me about 30-60 mins to tear the bikes front down and put the r1 forks on.
The part that takes awhile is preparing the r1 forks...you just need to buy another fzr stem and have that pressed into the r1 lower triple.

anyways, you should show close ups of the rear sets and how you mounted the shifter arm...
People over here have been wanting to do that mod but just dont know what to do about the shift arm and stuff.
