Woohoo! The front sprocket(JT 14 tooth 05 636) and 02 R6 swingarm have arrived. This weekend Im picking up the chain slider thingy, rear caliper and MC, caliper bracket, Axle bolt and pivot bolt for $50.
Hopefully friday I will have the rim and cush drive. I found a rear 180/55/17 tire locally for $125.

Scored most of my parts today for the swap. I picked up the whole swingarm with both axles, shock/mount, chain slider/chain, MC/caliper, and all small nuts and bolts for $100.00.

Met the guy on craigslist and when I showed up to pick up the parts he met me outside the shop and you would not believe the amount of bikes he had in there....all street bikes. He has 3 1st year Ducati 916's. And about 30 other bikes. Wow. Could not believe the bikes he had. Suppose to meet him and go ride next weekend.
I think he said he's on the archives. That Im checking on and I told him to check us out.

CAN YOU SAY "SHOCK AND AWE"

There is a story behind this swingarm. I would rather not talk about it though if you know what I mean.

Everything is in! :headbang:

Except for a tire and chain. I have an old 520 chain for mock up but I think Im going to buy a 520 XSO gold O-ring chain.

Going on the lift saturday afternoon for the disassembly of the OEM swingarm and get started on the grinding and fitting of the new R6 swinger.

I will be sure to take lots of pics for you picture whores out there.

And at 7pm its ENDLESS SHRIMP at RED LOBSTER!!

Sounds like fun. Both events. Just make sure you get a full face shield for the grinding / cutting. I had a cutoff wheel explode on me twice. Not fun at all.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

I dont think Im going to use my dremmel. I bought some 3 1/2 inch grinding wheels for my angle grinder. But then again, the dremmel is smaller. Will see what works better. Thanks for the reminder on the shield, will grab it from work tomorrow.

Those little dremel wheels are nothing. I had a cutoff wheel from my 4-1/2" angle grinder obliterate into my face on two different occasions. After the first one I went and got the shield. Second time wasn't nearly as scarry.
