Sounds like you didn't put the cover back on correctly. Make sure you check the service manual for the correct alignment.

I had problems when I put my fzr back on that I got the gasket in the way and the lever was hard as all get out to move and it kept the "ball" from pushing the push rod in. I don't know much about Triumphs though.

I know exactly what mistake you have made You think that is a PUSH ROD it is not.

Wow, you've gotta be kidding me. You have really gone above and beyond. I couldn't find much of anything on my bike in the triumph forums. a PULL ROD!! Haha that's what I meant! Hey man, reallly...thank you so much, totally worked.
