How much do older jet skis go for nowadays? How hard are parts to get for motor and stuff?

honestly i'd rather have one of these , it's an old wet bike , can't get much closer to a water dirtbike than these .

I would like to have a PWC, but then I would need the other required equipment (truck, trailer, etc.). A pretty expensive proposition that would compete for time that could be spent bonding with my bike.

i've never actually ridden a jet ski or wet bike , but the old videos of the wetbike looked cool . someone threw this old kawi up on craigslist for free and i went and got it . me and the water don't mix that well , i'm too out of shape to swim far if i gotta ...almost drowned in a jetti last time i went (non swimming pool) swimming . but if i come across some beat up old scooter i'm thinking of grafting it into the jet ski body because driving a jet ski on the street would be funny as hell .

I used to have a racing 95 sxi 750 bored out to a 780cc with a ton more mods. That thing was a white knuckled ride! But the lakes around here suck and fuel got too expensive to justify 3 months of riding every year.
As you can see... I wrecked it and bent it! This is why I "had" to buy it from a friend of mine.
Some of the engine mods. Bored to 780cc... shaved head.... jet kit.... pjs pipe.... wrapped gel cell battery...
stainless impeller... port and polished.... custom ride plate.... custom paint.... aluminum yoke and steering...
high amp starter.... dual 520 bilge pumps (for those water logging crashes)
I miss it alot. But requiring 98 octane or alcohol just got too expensive. Oh well... I love my FZR more.
If I lived closer to a cool lake or the ocean.... well that would be another story!
