FZRSupport: the FZROnline Archive

It's official, after too many hours of dicking around, I finally have the gallery working. There are still some bugs to iron out, and I still need to write up some directions for using it, but it works. I am creating albums within the gallery to cover various subjects, so far I have the following.

*Bikes and rides - bike pics and your cages
*Parts - subdivided into FZR250/400/600/750/1k/Other
*Screen Captures - Screen shots of various things on the site to illustrate things for folks.

I was also considering allowing each user to have their own gallery. Does anyone have any other suggestions for general categories in the gallery?

That pretty much covers it. Thats a pretty cool gallery and will serve many pictures for all of us to add to.

On the main page I have a couple pics that need to be deleted. I created my own folder with the correct ones.

Did someone else remove the pics for 95FZR600? I don't think I did.

Just glad they are gone. The one pic with the long name in the title was driving me nuts.

Great job on getin it up man. Is there a limit as to how many pictures we can upload?

I guess I forgot to mention what the limits are; everything is still fluctuating, so nothing here is set in stone.

The intial quotas allow everyone 10MB of photo storage. Donors are set at 30MB. We may re-evaluate these limits over time, especially for the donor group. This may not seem like very much, but the gallery also resizes your photos if they are bigger than 1024px. on any side. That should keep your file sizes pretty small.

Also, bweight is going to be helping me out with the gallery stuff. Feel free to contact him with anything.

Just to let everyone know as well.. If you'd like your FZR to be displayed on the main site, put it in the "Album: FZRs on the homepage" Album.. The main site page has a random image display and only takes them from that location. Please only upload one image to that album per user so that we can get a good rotation of everyone's bike..
