Is there a way to hide the smilies on the right side of the page when writing a message?

Not sure. I'll look into it. They can be quite overwhelming...

Out of curiosity are you wanting to hide them altogether or are you asking to have the list minimized so as to have the submit button closer to the input box?

I was asking because I do a lot of my posts from my phone, so when I do post it takes a bit to scroll down to submit. I guess just have the list minimized so the submit button is closer.

I'll look into a QUICK REPLY like some other boards have.

I'd love to do that, but I don't know of a way to have an image in a drop-down box. I agree that we need something else. Maybe a way to hide/unhide them.

This phone thing is getting out of hand... doesn't anyone just use them as phones any more? I couldn't do this on a phone, i'd go blind even with the i-Phone's high-resolution screen.

another idea is to keep the smilies where they are, but just put them in a box just like this that in with a scroll, so then the submit button will be right under the writing box

Im sure that could be done. Or only put a few in a box and then open the rest up in another page.
