My new purchase. A plethora of parts!

Post by thatkid »

I won this baby on eBay for $631.25. After gas and tolls I had it back to my house for $710. The parts on the bike are amazing and the amount of spare parts it came with is crazy! :jawdrop: She has FZR 400 rims on her for wider tires as well as a better selection of rubber. I was told there are 9100 miles on the motor. This thing is an 89 folks. My 97 motor had that many miles when I bought it. Not sure what else is in there but I'm going to open her up tomorrow and hope for a shift kit. An ignition advance would be cool too. Hell, he put all the other money into it, maybe I'd get freaking wicked lucky with wiseco or something! Damn that would be sweet. Here she is.
Image
The braided SS lines
Image
The dash. Oh and you can't see them, but there are Progressive springs in there.
Image
The aftermarket clip-ons. I'm not sure if they are Woodcraft or not.
Image
V&H Header
Image
NRC Covers in decent shape
Image
Image
V&H SS2r in freaking mint condition!
Image
Fox TC in almost mint condition. This thing is clean man.
Image
Check that SS line. CLEAN!
Image
Best picture I can get right now of it.
Image
CFM Rearsets.
Image
K&N Individual pods.
Image
Spool-ish things welded to the swingarm.
Image
Yeah, it says Beasley! Why??
Image
OH! Cause the entire bike is fitted with it. Cha-CHING! They are in ok shape. A little love will get them back to perdy.
Image
Now for all the extras that came with the bike. The all important manual. And I'm talking the main one.
Image
Two rear rims and a front rim. There is a front and rear combo with polished lips. Just needs a good cleaning.
Image
A whole lot of levers and spare pads all around.
Image
3 K&N twin pods, stock shock, 2 sets of clutch plates, heavy duty clutch springs, reflectors galore, 2 front and 2 rear sprockets, fuel line, some clutch spacers?
Image
Better shot of the clutch parts and the old springs in the progressive packaging.
Image
The spare pegs, the oem stuff, fairing brackets, spare bar end plugs.
Image
Helmet lock and seat lock.
Image
OEM Mirrors, spare YZF mirror, a stay.
Image
Stock covers, speedo, speedo cable and drive, cush drive, spare handle, oil filter, gas ring, front and rear axles, front hanger, exhaust hanger
Image
Headlights
Image
Many spare plugs. With the two sets I already have I should be good on plugs for awhile!
Image
Many many many spare bolts/nuts/etc, a few banjo bolts, THE ORIGINAL TOOL KIT!!!
Image
Rear brake setup, stock front lines, ram air tubes, clutch cable
Image
A whole lot of blinkers!
Image
The progressive packaging again.
Image
Parts to the jet kit
Image
Gaskets for all the covers and the exhaust.
Image

As I figure out what I will and will not be keeping I will post things for sale. For what I paid though I'm damn happy. And Darrin said not to go over $650! :whistle

I was about to say.... time to clean up that basement we can store more parts! That's right, I said WE. My is going to get extra comfy in your basement this winter. I'm thinkin we can get that papasan over to my place and we clean it up a little down there, add some flood lights, a blow up mattress for me, and our winter is set!!

Yeah the guy had set it up for supersport or something. Tried a few times and wasn't digging it so he sold the bike. The guy I bought it from just couldn't get rid of it fast enough so I got lucky. I could probably part out just the race parts and make my money back, put the bike back to stock and sell that for more than I paid too. The 6 hours in the truck was worth it.

Haunter, I would say we have it covered for any rider in the US if they need something! Heh.

Indeed. And I'm going to need to start parting some of it soon cause I need some cash for my scooter build. Not much mind you but some. Will probably be selling a set of K&N twin pods shortly.

The front of this is going on my current frame when the majority of that bike gets swapped to the 400 frame. Then I'm going to sell the 600 for a good chunk of change I'm hoping. My 400/600 hybrid will then be my main bike. This new one will possibly find some forks and a CDI (money available) and I'll either use it at as a ratty bike or sell it off for some cash and find yet another project. Or I may clean up those beasley's and keep this one as a street bike and have my naked bike as well. The options are endless right now. I luckily have time because the scooter build is taking front row so I can get it sold this season and hopefully have enough cash for a ticket to Scotland. Once winter comes is when I'm going one busy mamba jamba.

The CFM's I'll be hanging onto for a little bit. I'm on the fence of selling them or not. Make me a fair offer for the plates though and they are yours.
