I present "Le Fighter"

Chris was supposed to come pick it up tonight but it got rather cold. This gave me time to do a little photo shoot with the girl. Lots of powder, lots of new parts, and a hefty chunk of power. This bike is not one to take lightly.

That should wet the appetite. Chris can fill you in on all the details of what went into the bike. Since he hasn't seen his bike in a month or so, I'm hoping he likes the outcome. :grinnod:

Oh and here is a sound clip of the shortened yoshi.

Geo, at almost 4 am I wasn't able to start calling around to find one. Otherwise I'd have been all over it.

I love the red accents. It really makes the seat flow with the rest of the bike. Oh, and that Yoshi logo sets it off.

Story goes like this....

I planned on pulling the swinger and rims to have Nate powder them in the off season. However, I had to have an unplanned immediate surgery. It was something that we discussed might be needed in the distant future, but I started having balance problems and the pain was getting crazy. I basically had my annual MRI and 24 hours later I had appointments with 2 different surgeons :tard:. I was pretty much told a slip and fall would put me in a wheel chair the rest of my life, my spinal cord was bruised crushed and had no fluid around it.

So, I got some unexpected hardware:

I went for my last ride a couple nights before the date and some granny blew a red light and made a left in front of me. It was either a brick wall or a 2ft. sink hole the city had coned off. Needless to say, I nailed the hole and busted what turned out to be my dogbones. Laid on the tank and rode it a few blocks to a friends house where it sat for 6 months.

In comes Nate. He picked it up a month or so ago and has been working on it since. :notworthy:

I keep sending him parts and he keeps adding ideas, and to be honest, I only have an idea of where we're at.

The HL's obviously got swapped out: my wife was threantening to leave me if I didn't do something about the "drunkin' retarded bird headlamp".

I think: HL's, Veypor gauges, 14/49 520 kit, new cables, Yami steels/friction plates, pods, Flo-Commander, R6 MC, new rubber, Race Tech springs and gold valve emulators, Corbin seat, and a LOT of powder.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, cause I keep adding shit. Tail chop and new TL I'll be doing when I get it back.

I really want to thank Nate for doing sooo much work. 6 months of rehab was a PITA and I couldn't of had the bike ready for this season.

btw - still rehabbing, but I'm off all restrictions and got the OK to ride as of 2 weeks ago. :headbang:

Now it's time to chop that tail up =] it's too bulky and looks like a rectangle IMO

TK,
word of fatherly advice if you think you are likely to want a woman around at 04.00 start phoning about 20.00, by the time she has chosen what to wear & put her make up on, the cab picking her up for 04.00 will be about right :-)

Looks great! Really nice work very clean. I'm showing my age, but it kinda reminds me of "Johnny 5". :)

Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice.
