shes nearly finished!!!
all i need now is the paint and some other minor bits but i just want to stick her up... would be nice to get some other bikers views...
positive or negative its all good...
she cost me £300 iv spent about £1300-1400 on her... this is the result so far... another £100-£150 and shes finished
yes i am going to paint her... (finish it) Blue - Red - White (youl have to think of the design, its not hard if you think about where im from tho)

Hi,
just one criticism,is that just too plain exhaust bracket,Round the top corners and put 3 may be 4 round holes of reducing diameter going down the centre to the can would just look more professional & meet the standard of the rest of the bike !

yh the brack is only there for temp astm, theres a few ideas.

1. as you mention
2. FZR
3. yamaha logo

as you can see in the pics it has some sharp edges and it just needs to be neatened up...

has anyone got any ideas as to rear footpegs? the fzr ones dont line up properly with the r6 fairing, and i dont really want to use the r6 ones...
any idea as to what others may fit the FZR frame and line up nicely?+

Sorry to say there is an urban myth about another model bracket fitting but not actually found any one who has ACTUALLY done it. Since the work so far has been so good might I suggest fabricating the bracket yourself and just using what ever pegs you like to be added to your design.

I used thin alloy sheet to get positioning then use that as a template when happy with the design to transfer to 0.5 alloy plate ( a few edging passes like a router and a groove centrally make it look OEM instead of home built)

iv never seen it done... and certainly cannot imagine it...

yeah my friend has some weird tool he uses to cut shapes in plastics, aparently he can change the blade for ali :/

When using dog bones... jack ups...
if i want to make the riding position higher, do i need bigger or smaller ones? and does any one have any suggestions on size? cheers

If you want the rear end to be higher, you need shorter bones. Unfortunately I can't tell you what size to use.

What pods are you using on there? Look like some of the ebay pods I have been eyeing up.

The Uni foam pods that I have right now I am not very happy with. They get oil on everything.

Im a noob at forums, when you say "pods" do you mean airfilters?
if so, yes there the ones on ebay £10 or something along those lines... they wont be very helpful IF you have problems as they didnt even know they fitted these bikes untill i told them, but good all round, they sound great. performance wise im not sure as i havent riden her yet...
remember youl need a breather too tho
