That's a nice looking bike, awfully expensive though.

Maybe it's me, but I think the tail might be just a tad too high... :headscratch:

Those Euro extreme street fighter tails are just not attractive to me. This is also the second time I've seen that bike on ebay in the last 12 months as well.

tail ruins the entire bike in my opinion :tard: and it doesn't surprise me that its the second time its been on ebay in the last year. no one in their right mind pays 8 grand for a FZR. they've spent a lot of money and done a LOT of mods to that bike, but you just can't sell something like that. if it were an R1 he would have sold it in a couple days. people just don't want to spend that much money on a bike that old. my plans for my 600 are to make the bike look the way i want it to, get it running great and keep it until it can't run anymore. i plan on eventually getting a fuel injected bike, probably an r1, when i can afford it, but i want to keep the fzr around until it dies. or i'll hand it down to my sis and brother in law. either way, i think most of the guys on the forums plan on keeping their fzr's unless they are forced to sell. at any rate, we know they're not worth a lot of money anymore. anyway, now that my my2cents have been said, i'm going to continue drinking :drink:

hi,
well that is the problem of having a ONE OFF bike it costs and your taste in stuff might not be anyone elses.

Tail (being a euro myself ) is not that extreme and if I was still single (fat chance) would be OK but that paint job as with many other "custom paint jobs" I have seen is just too extreme for my taste.

As for the money side I have had 3 radical one off bikes that I built for me, and I sold for more than a new bike ( they were by the time I had finished) an RD400 Air cooled for 8G's a DT175 for 6G's and a part finished RD400 for 5G's plus another 3G's to finish it off.

The owners still have them 20-25 years later and know that NOBODY is going to pull up at a stop light with one like theirs <BG>.

If I ever sold Yellow Peril I would get tops a grand -1.2G and i have spent maybe 1.5 G plus 4 years worth of time thought & metal work on it.

the only thing with Yellow Peril is it looks almost exactly like this:-

http://www.rd-survive.org/rdspic/Pic-haramaki.html

Yellow Perils build sequence:-

http://www.saltmine.org.uk/kgb/yellowperil.html

The odd thing is they look alike but were built & developed 1/2 a planet away by 2 guys with no contact screwy

The tail makes it look like a cat in heat, not a good thing for a sports bike :thumbsdown

yeah

back in the early 90's I think the 94 FZR 1000 retailed for over 15 grand.

I do know that new 1k bikes are cheaper than they used to be way back when.

I know a lot of you guys like orange, but god damn. This one even has fluorescent GREEN flames. Someone had a few too many tokes.
That bike wins the "nice body - ugly face" award.

Drop the tail, get rid of the green flames, and paint the patriot fender, I would think it would be a very hot bike.

the gsxr fairings are way to wide for the 1K...the stock fairings were wide but the gsxr ones on thee look like hell from behind. i would rather own a newer bike for that cost. :deadhorse:
