Hi!

I wonder which company has made the exhaust system on my bike.
It´s a complete system in Titan according to the manual.
I live in Sweden but the bike is imported from the US.
According to the manual the system is bought in 1992.

That looks very much like the exhaust FartBlood has on his bike, but you say yours is not aluminium but Titanium ? so that would definitely be after market not a Yamaha part. look on the end caps & the side closest to the wheel for Makers stamps .

Yeah it´s titanium and the problem is that there´s no stamps on it. I´m just curious...

DSL,
The only thing I can now suggest is Google for " titanium exhausts FZR " and find some pictures.
That one you have has been re-packed I would say as there is no fancy trim band round the rivet heads.

Ok, i´m going to try that. Thanks for your answers. And yeah it´s been repacked. we did it a couple of weeks ago, but the bands were gone even before that.

Well the angle of the end and the rivets look a lot like my Yoshimura pipe, but I don't know if they made ti at all.

what is interesting is that on DSL's Titanium exhaust there is just ONE rivet hole for something like a badge NOT two like your YOSHI , so yes we are getting closer.

I could be wrong but it looks like a D&D.. They aren't popular on FZR's but the sound might help you pick it out.. they are louder than most aftermarkets (maybe the reason you repacked it)

Amen about the D&D. My old room mate has one on his 02 r6 and I can't ride next to him. It reverberates in my helmet. I've told him a thousand times to ride just a little behind me if he wants to ride side by side. He is one of those people that can't look like he is following (losing to) someone else. Know what I mean. Does make a nice flame though.

dsl_slr i just had to say that is a gorgeous bike, it is in fantastic shape! i'm not sure what exhaust that is, but it does have a similar look to a D&D pipe.

Thank you so much for your help the kind words! I think that maybe it is a D&D exhaust. It looks very similar to the one on the youtube link. And yeah it´s pretty loud. The highest allowed noise on the inspection in Sweden is 103 decibel and it was one decibel over. I passed the inspection but we repacked it anyway. It wasn´t so much noise reducing material left...

haha, that´s what she said... I haven´t visit here for a while, that´s why I haven´t updated my profile. Like yamaha_george said it´s just one hole for a badge or something and i´ve noticed that D&D have two holes for there badge like Yoshimura. Thanks everyone for the help, and if you come up with something new let me know!

Roger that George. I have a "Carbon Can Company" stainless oval pipe originally intended for an early R6. Apart from the type of metal, it looks identical. A tasty bit of pipeage if ever there was.
