not fake at all. Haven't you ever seen stunters that just let their bikes go?

it's Newton's laws at work, that's definitely not fake

actually, i've seen plenty of stunters lose their bikes. not to mention many friends at the track who have had their bikes ride off without them. everything about that video indicates fake.

1: the lines the 2 passing riders took, weaving between him and the bike are completely erroneous, which you don't do on a track.

2: nobody just "falls off" a bike mid corner without highsiding or lowsiding.

3: listen to the engine noise of the bike still accelerating after the rider has left the bike. (tech inspection fails you if your throttle doesn't snap right back to idle when let go)

4: in fact, watch it frame by frame: rider looks as if they are pulled off the bike.

5: note that the rider rolled once (all of 4 feet) before coming to a complete stop... :duh:

6: rider plops back on the bike and the suspension doesn't move.

7: the strange noise made when rider fell off???

the guy/gal that made this video just put too many extremely irregular situations to make it believable to those who are familiar with a race track setting. had they made the bike jerk violently, insinuating a highside, it would be believable. and the passing riders not changing up their lines like that....

this video has been discussed and the flaws pointed out in a few other forums. i pretty sure i am missing another thing or two that point to fake.

not as obvious as this, but the number of irregular things is what catches the eye.... lol

1. In a normal track situation they would be erroneous but when you see someone fall off a bike i'm sure it shakes you up a bit
2. It's possible
3. Sound may be off for the video or if you notice at the end there is a vehicle following which has a headlight, usually not allowed at the track which may lead you to believe that this is a sketchy track operation
4. over stiff suspension could have bucked the rider off
5. with the sound being off the bike may have been going slower than the sound suggests, take a look at how far it goes *with in running distance
6. Over stiff suspension, keep in mind that the camera appearas to be mounted ot the fairing stay which is bolted directly to the frame
7. A large mass of his body hit the ground

The last point being, why or how beyond CGI would anyone want or be able to fake this video?

it's quite obvious you have never ridden on a racetrack. go post this clip on a wera, ccs or other road racing forum and see what the results are. you won't even have to ask if it's real. they will all call bullshit on it. i'm not even responding to your reasons for the bizarre occurrences.

wera forums: http://forums.13x.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=12

ccs forums: http://www.ccsforum.com/

why would someone make a fake clip? uhmmm, do you believe everything you see on teh interwebs? i read somewhere that it was created for an arnette ad. not sure if that's true or not. maybe the creator is a special effects student making an action clip to show what they've learned in a film class. maybe it's someone creating a clip to submit to movie producers to become a professional special effects creator. who knows. there's many possibilities someone would make a fake clip and try to pass it off as real. or how about to say "hey, I MADE THAT ON MY COMPUTER! COOL HUH?" it's a great clip, as it fools many people. just not real track riders who know what really causes accidents, reactions, etc...

the earliest postings of that clip tried to say it was a moto gp race clip. obviously, it is not. if it were real, don't you think the poster would want to say "this is me at xxxx track, blah blah blah, and not just post up a faceless video?

anyfunk, like i said, post it to wera or ccs and let the real racers tell if it's real or not.

i cant watch the video but im pretty sure i know what one your talking about.
that video was not CGI or anything...it was real...wether or not it was planned and acted out, that is skill and they actually had to do that so its real in my book.
theres better versions online with the audio not delayed.
i originaly saw it on "Real T.V." years back. not sure if you guys had that show or not...but then it was also played on "You Gotta See This".

and this is a wild guess, i didnt click it, but is the vedeo freeze posted one of a dude on a yellow sport bike who gets plopped over the front of his bike and then falls on the side while still gripping the bars and manages to get back on the bike without it stoping and continue with the race?

its that or the one where a guy jumped a hill and landed crooked and had a wobble which he recovered from...

or the one where the guy on the track does a super high wheelie (past 12 oclock) and somehow doesnt loop it and recovers...

No this is a different video. In this one, the camera is positioned inside of the windscreen(facing the rider). The guy drags knee around a corner at the track and falls off. The bike remains driving upright(with slight wobbles). You then see the rider in the background get up and start running to catch up with the ghost ridden bike all while get weaved around by two other racers. He catches up with the bike hops back on it and takes off.
