My custom hugger

Well this was my first attempt at fiberglassing. I had patched things before but never made something from scratch. I'm pretty happy with it. I used tinfoil as my mold for the shape. Talk about making things difficult but I couldn't come up with anything else. For the mounting holes I added washers in with the fiberglass to avoid cracking. I shaped it down, added some bondo and filler primer and then painted it with silver and a few coats of clear. All in all I'm excited to have a hugger that I made from hand. Total cost was about 10-15 bucks in materials and a few hours of my time. What do you guys think?

It's mounted to some square tube I welded onto the swingarm to look like a brace. It also allowed me to move the brake torque arm on it and keep the lines looking a bit better.

It's just screwed in with 3 4mm SS allen screws. I drilled and tapped the square tube. There isn't a lot of threads per screw but the hugger doesn't exactly need to be secured like fort knox.
