Well as some of u might know i sold the fzr last week today , and was on the lookout for somthing a little bit newer and maybe a bit bigger so today i met up some dude and checked out his bike and after about 10 minutes i said wth ... maybe i jumped the gun maybe not ...but aall i can say is that in Michigan its hard to find a nice clean 1000cc bike under 4 grand , even if it did snow yesterday and riding season hasnt officially sprung into action just yet
But here she is
2002 R1 with 8059 miles 1 owner bike , so far everyone that ive come across today thinks its a brand new bike
well heres a couple pics more to come and just cuz it aint a fzr im still fzr4life with or without one .pics r with my crappy blackberry camera wait till i bust out the digital
coming home to daddy
unloaded

Nice. Talk about a fresh palette to work with. Bike looks completely stock. My only suggestion is to leave the stock header intact if you wanna keep your low end.

Nice bike! An R1 is the bike I want to upgrade to when I have a little more saddle time under my belt. You even got in in my favorite color scheme!

I second that.I test road the same model with yoshi full system and it was no good until after 7000rpm.
It was hard to ride arround town and wouldnt sit on open road speeds.
Just wanted to either be on or off the gas.
I only took it four blocks then looped back along the motorway straight back to the shop.
Very nice condition and plenty of snot standard.Spend any spare cash on look good bling before trying to enhance the performance for a while.
NICE BUYING.

thanks guys i only got to ride it for about 20 min within a square mile radius .. But it was enough to feel the raw power it has and scare the ISH" out of my self .. I have alot to learn with this bike because it is by far differnt then the fiz in every aspect ..I will probably be adding a akrapvic slipon as i found one for 150 bucks on CL but im tapped out at the moment and rent is due and my wife still bitching about wheres her new car ..HeHe plus i still need to get tags and insurance on it ,,Full coverage is gonna be a bitch for me and i dont want to No-Fault this beauty even though it seems thats what will happen just to get her road ready ..

great looking bike! a buddy of mine has got an '02 r1 in the black and silver paint scheme (my favorite scheme, aside from all black). i've ridden it a few times, and it has definitely got enough power to scare the crap outta ya. wait till you're cruising on the freeway at 65mph and decide to crack open the throttle for a sec. i did that to go around someone slower and 3-4 seconds later was doing 115mph
those bike's have got some BALLS. enjoy the new purchase, i know you'll love it!

NICE, awesome buy, I can't barely find a 600 for that price around here. Enjoy and be careful, I rode my buddy's CBR 1000RR and that was plenty to scare the crap out of you. Anything over about 1/2 throttle in 1st or 2nd gear and it was all you could do to keep the front wheel on the ground, a mostly unsucsessful effort. Have fun and be careful. I am so jealous.

cool bike, you will ride more then you wrench on a bike like this trust me, i learned quick. i will say you do need to learn the bikes power curve to feel comfortable on it. once you can full throttle 1st and 2nd i'd say ya wont shit ya draws.
enjoy!
PS....they still dont have low end grunt like a honda does hehe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, she's beautiful dude!
I would throw a stubbie can on that exhaust. I don't know why I never liked the stock exhaust on those bikes!
