That is nice. The shock mount is built into the swinger. Is that a 1st?

That shock wouldn't fly unless it has some type of pivot points. Also, the spring would flex side to side whenever the swinger went up and down. They need to compress the spring away from the swinger and frame.

Very good articles. It could be a scary year for Kawasaki unles they get some guys consistently in the top 3. Good luck with that!

It's got two springs and (I think) one damper unit.

His engine is some pretty cool shite too.

What I'm talking about is that unless the portion of the shock that is attached to the swinger isn't able to pivot, then the spring will exert more pressure on one side than the other.

Here is my horrible rendering... on the left is the normal state and on the right is the compressed state. See how the angle of the swinger shock mount changes angle while the frame doesn't?

Maybe it doesn't compress enough to worry about... I don't know.

Yeah, I could picture what you meant, Rage.

I think part of it is dealt with by the swinger pivot location (being so far forward and low), I think that translates into much more linear movement than your diagram shows. And 4inches at the rar axle is likely only 1" or so at the spring.

UPDATE:-
Dear Geo.,
t has been a priority of mine to personally respond to each email I have received and each comment posted on our blog. It has been my honor and the least I could do to thank you for your support.

However, since the Discovery Channel started airing the MotoCzysz documentary we have simply been overwhelmed with emails and comments and I can no longer answer each directly, though I do read each and every one. Needless to say, until we add more staff we are also finding it hard to answer all the questions or requests for more information directly to each person.

I will continue to read all the emails and assimilate reoccurring themes and questions that I will address more often via the MotoCzysz Blog at http://www.motoczysz.com/club.As far as the letters, emails and posts to date, the level of kindness and support is beyond my imagination.
As I have written many times, it does matter and is the fuel that often helps the team and me through our darkest times.Thank you, we genuinely appreciate you and your thoughts and I will personally do everything in my power to not let you down.

Respectfully and sincerely,
Michael Czysz
plus the MotoCzysz Team
