Just wanted to show the massive difference

Post by thatkid »

The difference between a stock fzr fork and an 02-03 R1 fork.

That front axle is just a little bigger. Nothing to be concerned about.

A bit shorter in length. This comes into play when you think about ground clearance and geometry of the bike. You will sit a bit lower.

And then a parting shot of my bike with the 89 forks on it now. It just looks very funny to me now.

Dang, just seeing that makes me uneasy with the stock forks. I could probably break them like a twig, on my strong days of course! :whistle I guess thats a reason to upgrade.

And the funny part is the fork tubes are almost the same weight! The R1 wheel is lighter though, so that helps too. The overall assy is definately lighter than stock FZR and oh so much better!
