One big Chicago skyline shot

Wanted to post this cause I thought it was pretty damn cool. The photo is 1.1 megs so if you aren't on broadband it may take some time. Once it loads you can click on it to display it actual size. This version is just under 1/4 of the original size. It's 38 images stitched into one. All were taken from the Alder Planetarium wall with a Canon 5D and 70-200mm 2.8L lens. Average exposure time was 15 second on f/16. I didn't bother cleaning up the noise because this was just a test run to see if it would work. Also the black gaps are where I didn't take pictures of the sky for those areas.

It was actually a plane. I wish it was a shooting star. That would be cool.

Thats a great pic.

I was surprised on the level of detail once I enlarged the picture!

On a side note, I nocted a few new building being built there. The sad part is I havent seen any new sky scrapers here in Denver, :( .

Thanks man. Next time if I can get my coupler I'll have a effective 400mm so my shutter time can be shorter and the detail even greater. Chicago only has one way to go these days...UP! Gotta have that lake front view to charge a few million for a 2k sq foot place.

Autopano Pro. Easy as pie. Tell it what folder to look in and it does the rest.

Hey if someone makes it easy for me I'm taking it. Spent too many years trying to do it by hand while color correcting etc. I like easy.
