i tried to convince the front gate workers i was racing and that i get free admission because i was (hey, i was in my spidi 1-piece, boots, etc...) but they weren't buying my story. maybe it was my machine? i dunno... 
so we get in and watch the first race from the roller coaster and down by T16 by the end of the race. it was crizzy to watch yates on may's rear tire the whole race, only to have may go off on the last lap. sucks to be him.
we then work our way over to the pit pass only area (without pit passes) and bump into my long time homey, jason britton. i met him 2 years ago

a couple of minutes later, kevin schwantz comes tooling by. at first, i was like --- uh, is that, uhm, kevin schwantz???
and before i could catch him, he smashed an apex and rolled out to T2. damn, i was pissed i didn't get to talk to him. 
off the bat, i spy my boy rog hayden, kickin it nine knuckle style.
so i go up and intro myself as shitf from the fzr boards and he's like "awwww yeah, i thought i reconized you. i see saw seen your videos on google too..." Cool so he asks if he can get a picture with me, and i'm like "you know it daaawg"... 
bust it:
he hooks us up with some monster energy drinks and we go into his garage and start talking about the track. seeing his race bike sitting there, i ask if i can hop on it and check it out. let me tell yous, rog is a cool mf. he's like -- man, you don't even hafta ask, shitf... i couldn't help but bust a monster hang for the cam...
my 2 other homies take a seat on it and check it out too. after we gab about the set up, we take a seat and i tell rog he should check us out at fzr online. i give him a fzr shirt and tell him how informative our riding tips section is. he seems impressed and gives us some tips about T17. i asked rog what kind of suspension settings i should be using on a fzr 400 for north, and he just kinda looked at me funny, followed by a few seconds of awkward silence.. to which i responded -- ha ha, just playing man.

just when i'm thinking things are just too cool, the red bull chicks come in and offer up some drinks. even though i had already had 4 free red bulls, i gladly accepted another, heh heh... i proposed a group photo with the lovely ladies and rog and some of his crew, and within a minute, it was saved in digital data history. i love this shot. i'm getting it blown up and framed. god bless the red bull honies...
this seemed like a good time to roll on and see what else we could get into. so we walked a few garages down and ran into the spies/mladin suzuki pit. mechanics were busy wrenching on bikes but matt and ben were no where to be found. pimping the podium, maybe??? so we tooled around and took some pictures and gossiped about sandbagging in the ama --
. mladin has a nice dryer for his suit too. not that he works hard enough to sweat or anything... damn sandbagger. LOL2

a peek inside the redbull rookie's cup tent reveals the sweet line up of ktm 125's:
i gotta hand it to those kids, they put on a better race than the main event race imo. last lap, 4 kids were duking it out, swapping positions coming through T7 and mixing it up all the way to a tight finish. these kids (ages 15 and under i think) are putting down lap times in the 1:35 range -- on a freakin 125!!!! when i grow up, i wanna be like them.
we got a close up encounter with rossi's 2007 M1, and i gotta say i'm a little disappointed. a slight corrosion has started forming on the front sprocket and the rear rotor and a few other things. someone needs to tell valentino to keep better care of his shizzle. for real.
it looks like it has on the fly front and rear suspension adjustments. very cool.

after such an eventful day, it was time to head out. when we got there, there was hardly any bike parking left. when we were leaving, we were the last ones to beat feet. heh heh
