This shows the versitility of the FZR so much that it looks right at home next to a couple harleys. Nice polish work on the fork lowers as well. Looks like a good time for sure. I'll make it up there some day. Thanks for sharing the pics RC!!! :shocker

Great pics... Sturgis, is definitely on my list of things to do... Is it just a "harley fest" or are there alot of sports bikes that show up as well? Most of the online pics i see usually focus on the harleys..

Throw up your myspace link when you get a chance, i'd like to see more pics..

Sorry about that.... I forgot to put it in my signature. It's there now and here below also.

I saw probably 50 crotch rockets while I was there. I also seen about 10 or so custom cafe racers and streetfighters.

Harleys and choppers rule the scene... but our FZR's are the canyon carvers...

God that was fun when we found open road with little to no traffic.

TY for the compliment sweekster.

Nice, hopefully you got some "NSFW" pictures too.

So what was the turn-out? How many days did you stay there ?

Thanks for sharing ... looks like you had great weather.

Ty guys...

I rode up there and back... 550 miles each way and put another 1000 on the fizzer after getting there in 4 days. Our group mainly woke up at 7am left at 8am and rode the scenic routes till about 8 or 9 pm then came back to camp and then crashed in the tents.

Here is me on Needles Hwy.

Image

I had a blast! But man I still have a sore butt. I bought a memory foam - gel pad from http://www.airride.com while there. $130, I highly encourage anyone who is taking the fzr on a long trip to get one. My butt was the only thing hurting from such a brutal trip.

Don't get me wrong though. I had a freaken blast in the hills. As for events like wet t-shirt contests and stuff.... well I didn't get a chance to do any of the events around cause we rode so much. Next time I am taking a full week to 10 days off to do it agian so we can go to the events and such.

Sorry I haven't got more pics up yet. My computer crashed 4 days after I got back from sturgis and been working alot lately.

I am thinking this spring of going to Daytona bike week. That and riding the dragon. Should be a blast. Probably will do it solo though as the girlfriend swore off long distant riding after that trip and the rest of the group I was with doesn't like to party. I may be old(er), but I still like to go to the bars and contests (t-shirt ones).

Ty agian for the comments!

Yeah, your still riding that OEM seat. The r6 seat is way wider and more comfortable. Looks like a good time. I want to try and make it to bike week in Daytona next year. Trying to talk the wife into going.
