Finally heading to the shop: June 2013 after sitting in the garage "dead" since October 2011.
4 days later she runs and gets an oil change that I got to do (kinda) myself!
1st time I got to take her out on a ride beyond the restrictions of the neighborhood. Rolled out w/ my boss, the shop owner.
And finally, first day I rode it to work from home. Rolled out with co-worker, the mechanic.

Looks good. Nothing like bringing back a bike. My bike sat for close to a year and when I sat down I had it running in a night. Nothing ground breaking just a VRR swap. Working at a shop has its advantages like changing oil without laying on your back!

sadly/embarassingly, the issue she had for 2 yrs was a bad battery.... ABSOLUTE FAIL...
but i've been riding a lot so it's smoothed out a lot in riding so carbs seem ok, just fixing tweaks here n there. next things to fix / replace: brake lines/master cylinder (has A LOT of gunk in it that bleeding alone could not get rid of), front forks (HELLA too bouncy for me), guage cluster lighting (can only see speedometer on left, everything to its right is dark at night_
dropped it twice though (fail) but from a sorta standstill position, my street / driveway is on a hill. i'm probably gonna get Nate's peanut covers to be safe.
