a cloth-covered monkey wrench / pipe wrench and lots of WD-40 wouldn't get it off ?

Way too much rust on the chain and damaged sprocket (do you ride off-road with this thing????)
I guess if your pipe was as rusted as the chain it was probably fused together. ...nightmare.

 :cop:
Essentially my chain was stretching every 50 miles and i bitched to vortex and I have a new chain and sprockets so i stopped lubing it because i was bitter and didn't care.

Has anyone had any experience taking the plexi glass off of our gauges? My gauges are clean but the plexi is beat up. I opened it up but it looks like i'll have to cut it out.

Nice Matt. I can always count on you for jokes. We drilled the rivets outs. Liquid wrench, let it soak, pipe wrench, hammering from the inside, twisting, banging, jumping up and down flailing arms like a monkey....nothing was getting that baby off. Plus it was rashed anyways. We'll be ordering some SS tube to replace the aluminum so it'll look even prettier. I'm stilling forcing the idea on Dillon but he may let me put a TKD badge on there.

We were closest with the flailing arms approach though

Well, since we tore my can apart I'll be looking for a new one. pimpmyfzr offered me his oval one which I still might try, but otherwise I'm trying to get a stainless steel seamless pipe with a 3.5" outer diameter, 3.375" inner diameter and 14.5" length. (I am semi-flexible on the length as we can just cut the baffle, but I don't know if I want a shorty exhaust). 3 1/2" OD, 3 3/8" ID, 14 1/2" length to put it in fractions. Anyone got the stainless steel hookup? :-D

Silver. I have some limitations w/ my free powder coating. It's silver or flat black. And the flat black has quite the texture to it, so I opted for silver. Regardless it will look a lot better than it used to, and I like the idea of not having labels next to the buttons. Just a clean look.

I haven't looked too hard for welded tube just because i'm being picky, but it might be easier to find and then i could just turn it so the weld is on the inside.

e-bay. you would be surprised what you find there. do a general search for stainless steel then when the results pop up, go the left and narrow the search. you want to look in the industrial section under metals and alloys. i've gotten some titanium from there that was about 1/8 retail price. unfortunatly, i can't find anyone who can machine it.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.
