That would be much appreciated man! As i was saying I like the idea of having a dash cover but i don't like how big and bulky the aluminum one that most people have.

i got you hooked up either way man here you go bro .. both the metal one in color and b&w
and the carbon fiber one but it only does rpm and temp not speedo maybe you can add the other circle the one that covers the rpms is almost identical to speedo

i printed it out just to see if it matches and it didnt so print some out cut it out and try it on your dash before you actually make a piece ..

Sorry could not find one of my many tape measures for the life of me ill find it when I get home after work. I just put them on my scanner and copied them but when I put one next to the pik , the one in pik seemed different. I scanned two or there different pics so ill check it out when I get home . I think the top part should go all the way up to wind screen but not touching it then It would like like real dash cover but the one I got will work aint spendin no more moola on cosmetics haha

Didn't get a chance to try that printout last night, but I did have some bad luck this morning before work. I don't know, maybe i should consider myself lucky.

I work at 5:30am on thursdays so I have to wake up at 4:30 and leave at 5 to get to work on time. I dragged myself out of bed, threw on my gear and went down to the garage to start the bike. Started it up, jumped on and tried to put it in gear and realized the clutch wasn't disengaging. I pulled it a few more times and the cable came out of the lever and the end was all frayed. It's probably good that this didn't happen on the freeway or on the way to work, but its just wierd because last time I rode the bike I didn't realize anything different in the clutch. It wasn't easier to pull and i didn't have to pull farther to disengage.

anyone got a spare clutch cable?

Well, a small little update. My clutch cable and throttle cables came in today. I'll install the clutch cable so i can ride but the throttle ones will wait until the rebuild.

Also got a deal on some mechanic gloves. 7.99 Craftsman


Then I got the exhaust packing for me and TK's scooter. it was 7.99 (a piece) from my local moto store. not bad.


And some grips. I just wanted something plain and black.

Does anyone know if the gauge layout is the same between the 400 & 600's? I'd like to start drawing these gauge faces up, but I'm not 100% sure they'd be compatible between the 2 bikes.

Those gloves got a good de-virginizing today when I replaced my clutch cable. Unfortunately i was unbelievably hungover and I had never replaced a clutch cable before and was having difficulties getting the damn sprocket cover off and then i had to go to work so the bike didn't go for a test drive yet.

but i digress

The gloves worked really well. A surprisingly small amount of dexterity is lost.

Hey pimp. Thanks for takin the time to measure It takes a lot of coercing to get me to take something off my bike to measure it

On a seperate note I installed my clutch cable today and the friction point is a lot further out than i remember. Is that just the nature of the new cable?
