I found out that my exhaust is a V&H supersport. I guess not the greatest full system, but really, how much HP will differ from full system to full system? I'm going to order the repacking kit.

An update:

Pics of my newly powdercoated heel guards:
Image
There are a couple scuff marks because the flat black has a texture and my shoe was rubbing on them. Hopefully that tones down a little.

Paint has been stripped and will be goin to the powdercoaters today!!
Extra rear brake lever I had (will save time later)
Image

Extra Peanut Cover I had but prob. won't use in the build (I have an NRC one but it's kinda scuffed up)

Radiator Overflow bottle

Nice.

Get out there in the next few weeks and get that V&H SS system off and sand off the rust and high-temp black that bad boy a few coats. Will be quite an improvement. I guess you should do that around the same time you figure on re-packing the can.

Those came out really nice. So did the heal guards...will the frame eventually be those colors?

I think that's a good idea. Sad thing is I just had it sandblasted last winter so that should make the sanding a little easier but sucks that it is rusting again already. I might break down and get it powdercoated we'll see.

Yah, i'm going to have the frame color matched to those. I can get small things coated at work but not bigger things. Thatkid was pointing out how funny it was that the heel guards look like the newest things on the bike... :-D

Oh and idk if you saw my other post but I found out my shock is a WP shock and I found a guy in wisconsin that rebuilds for $35 + parts. What a steal!!

this is turning out to be a lot of "discovering what this is." but at least i'm trying to get a lot of the research out of the way before winter starts.

hey there, just post whoring again.

I called RK because they have a 20000 mile warranty on their chain and I have to tighten mine every 50 miles after only 7000 miles were put on it. Turns out they won't warranty it because i switched from the 530 to the 520. Isn't that AWESOME!? banghead banghead banghead banghead :swear :swear :swear :swear banghead banghead banghead banghead

Maybe someone can find me a bike that has a 520 stock and I can just tell them I have that? :-D

Funny you say that. The 2006 Kawasaki Z750s comes from the factory with a steel 520 set up. Not sure that would really work BUT now you know at lease one bike that comes that way.
