Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.
Something is lurking, waiting, wanting to be built......It calls to me from the darkness....
I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel....Then I realize that it is the train coming to run my ass over....

been a while since we had any new pictures in this thread, Kilika2 and myself met up at Deal's Gap with his uncles and hit some corners.
Chris has the orange bike, mine of course is the black

and the infamous blue wire that delayed my departure
videos will be coming shortly
if you all are visiting and need something don't hesitate to stop in to Wheelers, my clutch cable snapped as we were finishing our ride and they used a yzf cable to get me going and did so pretty darn cheap. Greg from sportbikes4hire.com was helping out at their shop and did the work, everything felt great. Good people

I pay taxes for both sides so I'm going to get my money's worth. haha. Also when Will's bike was getting worked on the guy randomly had a 400 in the shop. I've never seen one before then. I'll post a pic when I get home.ragedigital wrote:Love the pics! What a beautiful place....

Two FZR 600s that have original body work in the same place at the same time. How rare is that these days?

I know I think that's one of the reasons I'm so excited that we were able to meet. We had to show some of the boys with their fancy new sport bikes a thing or two about nostalgia. I tried to explain to one that my bike laid the ground work for his r6 but he didn't care.sweekster wrote:Two FZR 600s that have original body work in the same place at the same time. Nunya- I will let you know next time I come up. I'm thinking a yearly event.
Bmiller- both Will and I were about 2.5hours away. He came up from Georgia and I was in a hotel about the same distance away. It makes for a good warm up ride.

I'm liking the sounds of the next fzr meet up, if you have some fun roads on the way there it makes for a much nicer ride. I know there's a number of us in the same area so a chill group ride to the dragon heading over blood mountain on the way would be a win. The 2 hrs plus I rode I wasn't even that tired, just had to sit down and warm up before we hit the dragon, it was colder than it looked.
Re: Members meet, Pics...56k warning!
had an accidental FZR meet up today, decided a mid finals week trip to Deals Gap was in order and met Tom and his well equipped 400
was surprised to find I had the overlook to myself at one point

There we go, couldn't remember your whole screen name. The sound of your 400 screaming through the trees was awesome, was telling someone it's beginning to seem like deals gap is where fzr riders hang out since I was there with one last time too

Deals Gap is about my range without a trailer, at least day tripping it. Between Deals Gap (4 passes), Blood Mountain each way, and US28 near Deals Gap I got in about 140 miles of corners plus the highways and straights in between. I was wiped out by the time I got home shifting like a newb and just uncoordinated. My quads are killing me from moving side to side that much, I may pack a day bag and just get a room next trip.reelrazor wrote:Dammit, I'm jealous...

You would have loved this it though, there was a two stroke rally in town so screaming engines and sweet smoke in the breeze. Some guys were damn impressive on them.
