Also remember the look at me factor between Ducati and Yamaha. Ducati is very upscale - it is like comparing a Honda Accord to a BMW 550. They are both very good cars but the BMW add so much more (from one point of view). The R7 was made and sold to the public so it could compete in world super bike. And just like the OW01 before it and the current 1098R, it was only sold to people with racing licenses. Well, you can get the Duc other ways now. Here is another one for sale - http://www.redlabelmoto.com/details.asp?srID=197 - only 600 miles on it.

Billy, I saw one at the AMA race last year. Had to do a double take to see if it was real or a bike modded to look like an R7. Maybe we'll see it this year too.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Which one? The OW01 or the 998R that was there? That place is great for seeing some unique limited quantity bikes. I didn't get a chance to go to the shop last time I was in Seattle, but next time I go I'm making it a priority. I almost bought a RVF400 they had 1 1/2 years ago. But I would then have had no money to ship it to Georgia.

They do make a conversion kit for a R1/7, but I haven't seen one yet that didn't look a little off.

Very cool. The shop I went to yesterday to pick up my new gauges had a TZ250 in full race trim. I asked how much just for fun and was told that it is a customers bike that lets them use it for displays. I would have grabbed a pick but didn't have my phone or camera.

Redlabel Moto also has a nack for finding RC45, RC30, NSR250, ZX7RR, and I think they had a SuperMono not too long ago.

Its a nice build but I would not have welded the tank like he did. He just killed off the only inlet that tank had for cold air.
