Well, it's all together. Fired her up and she sounded goooood  With the exeption of some seeping gas from the carb gas line seals (which I didn't check-DUH) everything went without a hitch. A few minor adjustments here and there and I'll be biting the bit for spring. Thanks all for your knowledge contributions along the road and kind words. Here ya go.....

Jesus did you order every part brand new OEM from Yamaha? These pics need to be uploaded somewhere in high rez and tagged so people can look at a fine example of an FZR600. Probably THE cleanest stock FZR600 I've ever seen.

I paid $1800. It may have seemed to be a little too much for the bike, but after searching for one the past year here in northern Illinois I couldn't let this get by. Interesting story of the bikes background is it was bought new by a young lady in Wisconsin who rode it very little while moving it multiple times from one house to another. She sold it back in 1998 to a Yamaha mechanic who rode it daily and put the majority of the 22,000 miles on her. He then sold it to a college kid 10 years later who I bought it from. I found the bike listed on craigslist. When I went to look at it, it was stored in a farm shed, dirty as hell but completely intact and running, sold with all the manuals and some extra stuff in boxes. One look and a test ride I knew I had to have it. Being I've done a few stock bike restorations in the past, I've learned what I can and cannot restore, or maybe I should say what I know I'm good at. I stick with the mechanical stuff but stay away from having to repaint/repair the plastic parts. I just love this bike. I'll keeping this one for a long time.

Great looking bike. No, $1800 was not too much to pay for this bike. Thanks for keeping it in stock colors.
