How much of a pain was it to do that?

Oh man. Luckily I only had to tape off the rear rotor. I had the shop lackey tape off the fronts. (They were for her wheels anyway) Absolute pain in terms of detail and time consuming. If I were to do it for a customer's wheels it would honestly be somewhere around $200 to do it. Not to mention I think I burned my hand about 3 times trying to get the damn things into the oven. That problem is about to be a thing of the past though.

As much as I hated the process, the end result made it all worth it. And the owner of those sexy wheels is VERY happy with them.
I think what you MEANT to say in answering that question was that it was a HORRIFIC pain in the ass. Hypothetically speaking, all afternoon spent taping in extreme frustration ending with a fuming stroll around the parking lot. Gorgeous results--yet brought out the worst in me. :whistle

Yeah Duane, you were right.

One of the few times I was right I guess. The end results were worth it but the look on your face while you were prepping wasn't the business (me and my big ideas). I'm just glad you were happy with them in the end.

Had fun helping out in the shop Nate. I'll be back soon enough to wrench some more soon.

Business trip? Didn't realize you went to Chicago.

Nope. "Mancation". I offered to help in the shop for a few days and he accepted. Wasted no time putting me to work when I got there. Not sure how much I actually helped though :whistle

But...

You do realize those rims are Broncos colors, and you live in Chicago.

Just sayin...

There is actually 2 of them in that image. One is laying down and one is standing up. Do something with them already, Nate!

No idea of the years those frames in particular. All 400 frames were aluminum though-regardless of year.

Hoarding isn't doing something?? I have 3 of them in that room. All from a 90. Matching swingers to boot! Well, one might be an 89.
