Right, much has happened in my 2 month computerless enforced absence.

A host of small brackets, footpegs etc painted - you don't realise how may tiny components there are 'til you've decided to refurbish or replace every last nut and bolt!

I've also pulled my finger out and painted my garage walls and floor, which slowed things down a bit but makes working out there so much nicer.

Work has started prepping the frame itself and I'm hoping to be able to apply paint soon. More pics to follow!

Not much happened of late, and I'm now recuperating following a 2nd operation on my arm.

Frame is now prepped and ready for painting. I hope to have a pic up for you in the next few days.

The frame etch primed, red oxide primed, filler primed, and hi-build primed as required, then rubbed down...

And the frame painted...

Despite wearing a mask, I'm rather stoned from inhaling 3 cans of PJ1's finest frame paint!

Gonna let it dry for a few weeks, then some fun ahead rubbing it down and polishing it up to the final finish.

Yeah, i'm stuck at home for at least another couple of weeks yet Geo.

Right, I've figured out how to change the fork seals without dismantling the forks, so they'll be painted and new seals fitted next.

EXTREME CLOSE UP! I don't think I mentioned, but I also filled the recesses in the main frame rails for a nice smooth look:

Here's a fork with new springs, new seals and rubbed down and repainted. Second fork is currently in progress:

And here's a front mudguard/fender mounting bolt thingy. The Devil's in the detail!:

Can't even remember the make of the springs...Maxton? Max something. Just progressive springs. I was never that unhappy with the front end and always had the size and strength to chuck it in quite well - it was the way the back end sometimes failed to follow that used to s*** me up!

Yeah, filling the recesses in the frame rails seemed a good idea at the time, but several days into it things started to pall. Don't arf look good now it's done though.
