I realize this is an FZR site, however, some of you helped me out and wanted to show your efforts. Thanks

Re: FZ 600 Racer
The bike looks great! And, we certainly welcome FZs... they were the predecessor to the FZR.

Re: FZ 600 Racer
Yes, it is the stock FZ 600 rim. It is an 18" 3" wide rim. Not very good for racing and finding matching tires with the 16" front is impossible. I converted the front end/ wheel and rear swingarm/ wheel from an 89 FZR600. Front is bolt on. The rear took some moditifcation of dog bones, bolt holes, etc.. Nothing too crazy. I must add that I am a very experianced fabricator with the proper tools, so it may seem a little easier to me. Not bragging. Tailpiece is also off that FZR and molded with the stock FZ600 side panels up front. You can see in the progress photos. Thanks for looking
Re: FZ 600 Racer
Hi
Just picked up a mint FZ 600.
The rear has a 3.50x18 FZR rim, but the front is OEM (FZ).
You have a FZR rim installed, did you replaced the whole front end or just the rim. Which model year??

Re: FZ 600 Racer
You can put any year FZR600 front end on a FZ, it bolts right up. Don't use a 89 it only uses a single caliper fork & they can't be upgraded to a dual piston caliper from a FZR/R6/R1 or YZF. Just change the neck bearings/race it's easy.
The FZ forks are 36mm & FZR are 38mm a small upgade but you need the triple trees & clip-ons, I bought my front end for
a total of 125.00 bucks. You also have much better selection of tires

You could try and put an FZR400 rear swingarm in there. I'm sure that rim fits a 140.boyoboy wrote:i was wondering if you could fit a 140 rear tire with the stock swingarm? ever try it?
