I borrowed a buddies GoPro Hero HD cam and shot some footage of my trip out to Spruce Knob, WV and back last weekend for some stargazing.
After figuring out the best way to encode it (6 minutes of 1080 HD = 600MB!) I clipped this short shot of my climb up and down the ridge between Franklin and Riverton.

I've got lots of other footage, including some great stuff from Route 220 through the valley, but it's not exactly the most "entertaining" stuff... I figure it will be in a couple years though, right?
Here is the exact spot:http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 42886&z=11
I took I66 West out of DC to Strasburg, catching Route 55 West to 220 South down to Route 33 West to just past where 33 intersects 28. There is a great little dinner there, Gateway Restaurant, on the left. That road that comes out there, Briery Gap Road, takes you up to the top of the ridge. Highest spot for some couple hundred miles.
