rollin the fizzer four on the two one one

Post by shift »

this was a video my friend made following some friends and i about 2 years ago. it was a nice day in the winter, as you can see the sand on the double yellow in some corners. what you cannot see is, my front brake calipers were seized and i had to use engine braking and rear brakes to set corner speeds. (and no, i do not recommend doing this) bonkonhead

anyfunk, i didn't know he was taping, or that he made a video out of it until much later. at any rate, i fingered i'd share. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... d=31457852

HEY! A VA Local! Yippee!
(Great, just after I parked the FZR for the winter.)
Shift, where are the the good roads 'round Leesburg? I know a few out around Middleburg, and the mountains are full of them, but hate having to do 2 hours on the concrete slabs just to find a playground.

All Original, except for a custom saddlebag set up. A machine shop buddy of mine seamlessly fitted two GS bags on the rear end for last summers ride.

there are a few decent back roads in the area, but i only use them to get to the nicer roads out west. if i go for a ride, it's usually 5 hours minimum because all the really good roads are in/near west virginia. there's some nice back roads in frederick, md too. i have a really good knowledge of fun riding roads from leesburg/purcelville and south to haymarket, and roads headed westward from there. i try to behave on those roads because the cops out there have itchy trigger fingers when it comes to sportbikes.

are you on any local forums -- dcsportbikes.com (or .net)? there are some folks on there who post up some quality ride routes.

what city are you in?
