New pipe for my R1

So i couldn't stand looking at the stock pipe on my new bike so i did some searching and ended up finding some kid who was selling a Akrapovic titanium exhuast supposedly for the R1 .. After him telling me that he's got 3-4 interested partys i gave him time to sell it and he didn't so i offered a low ball figure and he kindly accepted .. picked it up, the thing looked mint/brand new basically got it for about 90% cheaper then retail price . So i get home take of my stock can and start to put it on .. i first installed the mid/link pipe then i installed the can WTFFF it wont mount up to the footpeg mount area infact it wouldnt even get close up there sit's about more then 6 inches lower then it should .. Now ive been searching the web vigorously tryin to find another mid/link pipe but no success . but i aint giving up just yet gonna see if maybe i can find another make that will mate with the inlet of the can but here's how it looks and what not .. If anyone knows of any place that will sell just the mid/link pipe please let me know i can't find no where on the web that sells it seperately without buying a complete system ..

You might have to go to an exhaust shop and get a pip made up...wont be titanium though

Also you sure you have the mid pipe at the correct angle?

yes ive tried every angle possible .. after messing around in the r1 forum come to conclusion its for a 00-01 R1 the mid-pipe instead of 02-03 but i will call LP and see if they can send me out a right midpipe or else im goin with one of those moto gr stealth style shorty pipes if this cant be resolved

Cant you get the original stock midpipe cut and spring tabs welded on to fit new pipe.Sacrifice the old for the new.
This is what i did with my race pipe.
Ignore the thick webs on mine i got them added for strengh as mines ally system and only 1.2kg
My last pipe fell apart internally.
